Blue and violet light absorbers

Blue light refers to the blue portion of visible light (wavelength 400–500 nm), which is a short-wavelength, high-energy light. While sunlight and electronic screens also emit blue light, the "new light sources" we encounter daily, such as LED lights, HID lights, energy-saving light bulbs, and electronic screens, contain significantly more blue light than sunlight. Therefore, we are currently exposed to far more blue light at close range than ever before. Excessive absorption of blue light can damage eye health, leading to macular degeneration or macula. Some studies using animal macular cells have found that prolonged exposure to blue light can damage macular cells.
Zhaofei Technology's blue/violet light absorbers can be used in inks, optical adhesives, lenses, and films. They target the absorption of harmful wavelengths of blue and violet light. There are corresponding products for different applications and absorption ranges. Please contact us for details.
